Chin Wah Foon and his wife Ng Kew owned and operated Chan Foon and Co at 5 Majoribanks Street, Mount Victoria.[1] [2]

After closing the laundry business in 1981,[1][2][3] the landlady instructed her family that Chin Wah Foon and Ng Kew be allowed to live in the property for as long as they wished.[1]

Father of David Eng.[3]

Chin Wah Foon passed away in 1983.[1]

A 1969 photograph held in Te Papa's collection most likely shows Chin Wah Foon at work in the laundry.----
