Chinese owned laundry, located at 5 Majoribanks Street, Mount Victoria, from around 1934 to 1981[1][2][3]. One of three known Chinese owned laundries at this location.[1]

Owned by Chin Wah Foon and Ng Kew[2], Chan Foon and Co is thought to have been the last operating Chinese laundries in New Zealand.[2] Some of the equipment was donated to Pātaka Art and Museum, in Porirua.[2]

A 1969 photograph held in Te Papa's collection most likely shows Chin Wah Foon at work in the laundry.----
